Mac OSX Server

Has anyone used OSX Server to host a forum?

I played with it for a while on my Mac Mini and it seemed to run well as localhost using Apache. I didn't install PHP or anything that is required for hosting a forum.

Curious if anyone else has.

I have an old Mac Pro G5 that came with OSX Server. I never really got into using it as a server. Since OSX is based on Unix I would imagine installing the necessary tools to run a forum wouldn't be too hard. I would guess it run on par with any server OS.

Maybe I will start a community and run it on the mini. I could use it as learning experience. I could start a forum for retired veterans. Being one myself I would have the knowledge for it.

That is an interesting idea. I don't have an Apple computer. I do have an iPhone though.
