I am getting ready to convert to xenforo. I will use this thread to ask questions as I proceed through the process. I will do a test convert first and if all ok start the real process. Are there any tips you can share that will make things go well?

If you are going to convert from other forum software to xenforo then start a thread in this forum and we will help you. I have done conversions from several other forum software including IPB, vBulletin, phpBB and many others so I am sure I can help you work through any problems you might have.
